"Since the first issue in 1906 (under the name Washington Historical Quarterly), the journal has been indexed irregularly. Decennial indexes were published at the conclusion of volumes 10 and 20. A cumulative index was issued in 1935, when the journal's name was changed to Pacific Northwest Quarterly. An index to volumes 45-47 appeared in 1957. And in 1964 a cumulative index compiled by Earle Connette, complete through volume 52 (1962), was published. Thereafter, no indexing of PNQ occurred until 1994-95, when the editors Carol Zabilski and Kim McGaig reintroduced the annual index, a feature during the earliest years of the journal."--Preface.
"Published at the University of Washington since 1906, PNQ offers articles, edited primary-source documents, book reviews, announcements of conferences, information on archival collections, and lists of publications, dissertations, and theses."--From publisher website, viewed 1/31/12.
