Summary:

Film by Blackfeet producers that explores the relationship between language, thought, and culture, and examines the impact of language loss in Native American communities. Chroniclees the disappearance of the Blackfeet tribal language from 1890 to 1990, with analysis of why the mother tongue was destroyed. Illustrates the commonality of language loss among Indian tribes and other American ethnic groups.
