The Great Tribal Leaders of Modern Times interview series offers oral histories of contemporary native leaders who have played vital roles in their people's struggles for sovereignty, self-determination and treaty rights. This DVD focuses on LaDonna Harris who is a citizen of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, and has been active in the women's and civil rights movements, supported environmental issues and worked towards world peace. Harris not only discusses her participation in these causes, but also talks about her role as the founder of Americans for Indian Opportunity, which offers Indians the chance to improve their lives.
